    Viet Nam Ethnological Museum

    The Việt Nam Museum of Ethnology was officially opened to the public in November 1997 by French President Jacques Chirac when Việt Nam hosted the Conference of Francophone Nations. Located in Cầu Giáy District on the western outskirts of Hà Nội, the museum covers an area of nearly 3.3 hectares. It was designed in the form of an ancient Đông Sơn drum by Hà Đức Linh, an architect of the Tày ethnic minority, with interior decorations by French architect Véronique Dollfus.

    Van Mieu Temple

    Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ( Literature Temple) is the most impressive place about Vietnamese education. That is the first university in Viet Nam. Originally built in 1070 in the Ly dynasty, the temple is a shrine to Confucius and his disciples responsible for spreading his teachings.

    Tran Quoc Pagoda is one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam and a cultural symbol of Vietnamese Buddhism.

    Hoan Kiem Lake

    Actually there are many big lakes in Ha Noi such as Ho Tay Lake ( West Lake), Truc Bach Lake … Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Restored Sword) locates right in the center of Ha Noi capital. Its name is from the legend of Viet Nam history about Le Loi King to fight to the Chinese Ming dynasty. Le Loi King has won that battle thanks to a big turtle who gave him a magic sword.

    The Old Quarter

    Ha Noi Old quarter is right in the heart of the City, near the Red river and Hoan Kiem Lake. That is a history center of the City with the most crowded population.     Huong River

    Huong River ( Perfume River) is the river that crosses the City of Hue. That is one of the feature of Hue as its romantic scenery along the river. The Perfume River has two sources, both of which begin in the Trường Sơn mountain range and meet at Bang Lang Fork.

    Tu Duc Temple is a complex of architecture that also is the place of Tu Duc tomb. It located in a small valley at Duong Xuan Thuong village and now that is Huong Ba Village, Thuy Xuan Commune, Hue City. That is a beautiful place and this Temple is one of the most beautiful temples of Nguyens Emperor. This construction was a reason of a rebel at that time as people was suffer at the hard work and under the rude treatment.

    Khai Dinh Tomb

    Khai Dinh was in the throne at the age 31th, 1916. Right after became a King, Khai Dinh was constructed many places, temple for himself and his royal family such as Kien Trung Temple, An Dinh, Truong An gate , Hien Nhon gate, Chuong Duc gate but the special one is Ung Lang ( Khai Dinh Tomb) This temple located in Chau Chu mountain.

    Minh Mang Tomb

    Minh Mang Tomb was built by Thieu Tri King in 1840 – 1843 which needed 10,000 workers and soldiers. It located in Cam Ke mountain and that place is the confluence of the left and right tributary that creates the romantic Huong River, around 12km from Hue city.

    The Citadel

    The citadel in Hue is a complex monument which was built in between the 19th to 20th century in the Old Royal Hue area that is belonged to Hue City and some parts of Thua Thien – Hue Province nowadays. This complex is divided by two parts, inside and outside the Citadel.

    Visa Exemption: Visas are exempted for the citizens of the countries, which have signed a bilateral visa exemption agreement with Vietnam, including Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Laos. Vietnam also made a unilateral decision on visa exemption for citizens of Japan and Korea.

    Vietnam is located in both the tropical and temperate zone. The annual average temperature is between 22oC and 27oC. The average rainfall is from 1,500 to 2,000 mm and the humidity ranges around 80% In general, there are big difference in climate between the South and the North of Vietnam. While there are only 02 seasons (rainy and sunny) in the South, the North of Vietnam is strongly influenced by the temperate zone climate with 04 distinct seasons.

    Non Nuoc Beach is a white sandy beach on the outskirts of Da Nang is renowned for both its spectacular beauty and for its history. Today, the beach, along with My Khe beach to the north, are home to expensive resorts, surfing and entertainment facilities.

    Cham Museum

    Cham Museum (or the Museum of Cham Sculpture) is located in Hai Chau District, near Han River, Da Nang City. It preserves a largest collection of Cham sculpture. The museum was founded in 1915 as the Musée Henri Parmentier during the colonial French era to preserve the finds of the ancient Champa kingdom and is the only museum in the world dedicated solely to this era. It is a popular tourist destination.

    Marble Mountain

    Marble Mountains( Ngu Hanh Son) is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngu Hanh Son ward, south of Da Nang city. The five 'mountains' are named after the five elements; Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth).

    Ba Na Mountain

    Ba Na Mountain is located on Truong Son Mountain, on the West of Da Nang City. Ba Na was found in 1919 by French colonists. During French colonial period, French people were chosen Ba Na as the Da Lat in Da Nang because of its cool climate and the beautiful view. .

    Hai Van Pass

    The Hải Vân Pass is an approximately 2 mile long mountain pass on National Road 1A in Vietnam. It traverses a spur of the larger Annamite Range that juts into the South China Sea, on the border of Đà Nẵng and Thừa Thiên-Huế Province, near Bach Ma National Park.

    This is a Chinese Community Hall, but has other uses as a temple, shrine, place of ancestor worship, and a venue for conferences. The Chinese maintain practicality in their worship but since most things in life can’t be guaranteed, superstition also plays a large part in their religious beliefs.     Merchant Houses

    Many of the old merchant houses are lived in by the locals, but fortunately are beautifully preserved. They can be typically described as having a narrow and lofty interior with a barrel vault ceiling. The street entrance has a shop front where the merchant used to display his goods.     Lanterns

    Lantern is one of a special feature of Hoi An. On the middle of every Lunar month, people in Hoi An will turn off all the electric lights in this ancient town and replaces by thousands of colorful lanterns.     Domain de Marie Church situated on Mai Anh Hill, around 1km from Da Lat Center. It also called Mai Anh Church as there were a lot of Cherry flowers on that hill. It was built in 1930-1943 with the old Western style. ( 17th century). This church has no Bell Tower as most of the others. There is a statue of Maria standing on the globe which designed by a French architect in 1943.

    Lam Dong Museum

    Lam Dong Museum situated on a nice Hill that looked down to a valley and opened view to Da Lat City. That place displayed many custom and historical objects of local people in Lam Vien ( or Lang Biang ) highland. The Museum was belong to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hao, father in law of Bao Dai King.

    Bao Dai Palace – Dinh III

    Bao Dai was the last King of Viet Nam. Bao Dai Palace III was built in 1933-1938 on the top of the hill and large area with flower gardens in front and back yards. The palace was built to Western architectural style. This palace is preserved and open to public. In the ground floor, that was place for receiving guests, Bao Dai office, meeting room, entertain room and others.

    Doi Cu (Golf Course)

    Doi Cu ( or Cu hill) is the hill and valleys up and down in the center of Da Lat City, next to Xuan Huong Lake. Without Xuan Huong Lake and Cu Hill, it is not Da Lat. Cu Hill was a restrict area for construction. It used to be the 9 holes Golf Course that was quite famous in the South East Asia. Doi Cu nowadays is the 18 holes Golf Course.

    Xuan Huong Lake

    Xuan Huong Lake is located right in the heart of the City, surrounding by mountains and Pine Hills. That is not a nature Lake. This place was a valley with a stream crossing over, the upstream was Cam Ly Waterfall.

    The Thap Ba Hot Springs and its Mud Baths has become a very popular site in the region. On offer at the centre are diverse spa services including flower and medicinal herb treatments, mud baths, VIP spa, sauna, warm mineral water swimming pool, Tien Sa mud bath and a range of therapeutic massages all taking place in a natural and tranquil atmosphere.

    Alexandre Yersin Museum

    Alexandre Yersin was the French medical pioneer who co-discovered a vital bacterium responsible for causing bubonic plague. Yersin arrived in Nha Trang in 1891 and in 1895 founded the medical research institute where he dedicated the rest of his life to scientific discovery until his death in 1943. He is well remembered in Vietnam where he is affectionately called Ông Năm and is highly respected for his contributions to Vietnamese society and is also credited for discovering the city of Da Lat.

    Long Son Pagoda

    The 24meter-high white Buddha statue is the main attraction at this pagoda and is an important symbol of Nha Trang. The seated Buddha statue was built to honour the monks and nuns who died protesting against the corrupt Diem regime, around the base of the Buddha are their portraits carved in relief and surrounded by carved flames of the monks who set fire to themselves (self- immolation).

    Po Nagar Cham Towers

    The main tower named Po Nagar Kalan represents Mount Meru and at 23 meters is one of the tallest Cham structures anywhere, it is constructed from clay bricks and molasses mortar and consists of a square tower with a three step pyramidal tower its and three-story cone roof are outstanding examples of Cham style.

    Fishing Industry

    The major industry in Phan Thiet is fishing. With 57,4 km long coast that promised a huge potential resource from the sea. According to local statistics, some 100 different varieties of fishes are caught here with an annual yield of over 70,000 tons. Besides, local people also interested with the aquaculture that brings around 600-700tons of shrimps, squids and others. Phan Thiet has around 140ha of surface which used for raising shrimps.

    Thien Hau Pagoda

    The Thien Hau Pagoda is a Chinese style Pagoda in China Town.
    Thiên Hậu is a deity of traditional Chinese religion, who is revered in the southern maritime provinces of China and in overseas Chinese communities. Thiên Hậu is worshipped in the seafaring Chinese communities of Fukien, Canton, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. She is not specifically a deity of Taoism or of Buddhism, though she has been brought into connection with figures and themes from Taoism and Buddhism.

    The City Hall

    This building was built in 1902-1908 with French colonial style, right in the heart of the City.
    Surrounding is the Municipal Theater, Rex Hotel 5*... This can be the best building about architecture. After 1975, this City Hall renamed the People Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

    The main Post office

    The main Post Office was built in around 1886 – 1991 under the French Colonel domination by a French Architect . That is one of some special architecture buildings in Saigon which combined the Western and Asian style. Standing beside the Notre Dame Cathedral but the main Post office is standing out with its impressive architecture coordinated with many other buildings around such as Diamond Plaza, the Metropolitan that created a beautiful complex building in that area.

    Ben Thanh market

    Ben Thanh market is one of the features of Ho Chi Minh City, specially the picture of its South Gate. It located right in the heart of the City in District 1. There were many discussions about this market and keeping it as a feature of Saigon that is the final decision of the Government. Ben Thanh market had renovated in 1985. The same as other local markets , the vendors sell foods, flowers, fruits , clothes, handicrafts,..

    An Thoi Port

    An Thoi is the second big Town of Phu Quoc Island after Duong Dong. It is a quite busy town thanks to the port. Around 30km from Duong Dong, An Thoi is located on the South of Phu Quoc Island. The hydrofoil also uses An Thoi Port for their routes to/ from Ha Tien or Rach Gia.

    “ Sao” Beach

    Sao Beach ( Bai Sao) is the most wonderful Beach in Phu Quoc. The beach is covered with the fine white sand that you can feel the smoothly and softly underneath of your bare feet. People compared the Sao Beach as a beautiful girl with hers nature beauty, no make- up.

    Phu Quoc Fish sauce Factory

    Around Phu Quoc Island, there are a lot of seaweeds and this is a big source of foods for a kind of fish called “ ca com”. That fish is small but it is the best “material” for making the fish sauce. By the huge source of “ ca com”, fish sauce became one of the main occupation for Phu Quoc people since 200 years ago.

    Dinh Cau

    Dinh Cau is a Temple where the local people worship. It is located right in the gate of Duong Dong River. The local fishermen came here to pray before go to fish. Besides the meaning of religion, that is a place for enjoying the beautiful scene of nature and the peaceful of Duong Dong River.

    Duong Dong Town

    Duong Dong Town is located on the Northwest of Phu Quoc Island. That is the most prosperous area in this Island and also is as the center of administration, economy and culture of Phu Quoc.
    Duong Dong connected Ham Ninh Commune, An Thoi Port, Cua Can , Bai Thom, those are the main residential areas. The Phu Quoc Airport and many luxury hotels are located in Duong Dong.

    Bang Lang Sanctuary

    Bang Lang Sanctuary is located at Thoi Thuan Commune, Thot Not District, on side of National Highway 91 to Long Xuyen, 45 km from Can Tho City.
    It is a large area 2 ha that is the house of around 300,000 birds with more than 20 different gens. For attracting the birds, the owners need to take a good care for the trees, have to plant a new one and even have to raise the fishes, shrimps, crab for more foods.
    This is one of interesting sightseeing place in Mekong Delta. There are some others as Phuoc Chung Sanctuary in Kien Giang Province, Tan Long Sanctuary.

    Binh Thuy Temple

    Binh Thuy Temple is located in Binh Thuy Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City, 200m from Hau River, 5km from Can Tho City.
    Situated in a large area around 4000m2, Binh Thuy Temple has its special style. Its architecture is different with other temples in the North.

    Can Tho Museum

    Can Tho Museum was established in 1976 and has more than 5000 objects and historical relics. With the surface is 2,700m2, Can Tho Museum is the biggest Museum in Mekong Delta.     Can Tho Bridge

    Can Tho Bridge is now completed on April 2010 and became the longest cable-stayed bridge in the South East Asia. That bridge crossed Hau River, the largest branch of Mekong River, connected Can Tho City and Vinh Long City. The bridge is 2.75km long with 4 lanes for traffic and 2 lanes for pedestrians.
    Included the approach ramps, its length is 15.85km. The bridge was replaced for the ferry system and bring more convenient for people in the Mekong Delta.

    The Côn Đảo Islands (Vietnamese: Côn Đảo) are an archipelago of Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province, in southeasternVietnam, and a district of this province.     Buon Don ( Don Village)

    Buon Don was known as a famous place in hunting and training the wild elephants. It used to be as a capital of Daklak province. Nowadays, Buon Don is a tourist site of Buon Don District, Krongna commune, Daklak province, around 40km from Ban Me Thuot to the Northwest. The main residential people here are Ede Ethnic group.     AKô Đhông village

    Ako Dhong or Co Thon village is located right in the heart of Buon Ma Thuot City. This is a very nice village of Ede people. Their houses were built as planned with traditional style, the long house with the stair in front. Each house possesses a small garden which is full of flowers.
    Nowadays, Ede people built the modern villas behind their old traditional houses. The Old houses still there but more or less, they already changed! (sour: amitourist).

    Coffee in Buon Ma Thuot

    The coffee trees were imported to Viet Nam around 1870 but were popularized after 1930 and at French’s Farms. The coffee trees were suitable with Bazal soil that’s why this industry was growing by the time. Daklak nowadays covers by around 200,000 hectares of coffee and became the best supplier for this industry in Viet Nam. Invited for a cup of coffee is a feature of culture of people in Daklak.     Museum

    The national Viet Nam Museum in Dak Lak is a historical site which was built in 1926- 1927, used to be Bao Dai Palace( Bao Dai was the latest King of Viet Nam) and was took over by the Government in 1950. This palace was rebuilt in 1940 with the style as the long house of Ede group, tile roofs, wooden floors. This place displayed many cultural objects of 44 Ethnic groups in Daklak.
